Recently picked up a 69 bug thats been sitting forever. The front drum isn't coming off. Is it possible to take front and back pieces off as a whole?

Thanks!

I don't believe they can be removed as a single unit.

The brake drums are probably rusted to the brake shoes. There are 2 ways to get them loose.

1. Striking the outside of the drums with a BFH (Big F*&%^$ Hammer) often breaks the drums free.

2. Spray the whole shebang with Break-Free or other penetrating fluid and let soak over night. Spray again and let soak for another day. Then smack with the BFH (see #1).

After all that, it should break loose.
